Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a Business Analyst to join our client in Brussels. The candidate will be part of the development team, working on site with an emphasis on engaging with IT and business stakeholders.

The role is full-time and permanent, with work conducted at the company premises or at customer premises. Ideal candidates hold an IT degree and have extensive experience in requirements elaboration, modelling, and presenting solutions in English.

Qualifications

• IT degree with 13 years of IT experience.
• Experience in scope definition and requirements elaboration.
• Experience negotiating with business and IT stakeholders.
• Knowledge of large organisation administrative processes.
• Knowledge of iterative project management methodologies (Agile).
• Knowledge of business analysis, modelling, tools and techniques.
• Ability to give business and technical presentations.
• Excellent command of English.

Business Analyst (Information Technology/Software)

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

Role Overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Business Analyst fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company's premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client's IT team on site.

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 13 years;
• Experience in product scope definition, requirements elaboration, experience in negotiation with actors from the business and IT community, as well as technical knowledge in specific areas (e.g. UML modelling);
• Good knowledge of large organisation administrative business processes;
• Good knowledge of iterative project management methodologies (e.g. Agile);
• Good knowledge of business analysis, modelling, tools and techniques (use case diagrams, state diagrams, entity relationship model etc);
• Ability to give business and technical presentations;
• Excellent command of the English language.
