V-IT NV is seeking a Business Analyst / AI Translator to bridge business and AI/technical teams across the full project lifecycle, from ideation and requirements to testing, rollout and continuous improvement.

You will analyze problems, translate into actionable requirements, facilitate workshops, and help manage stakeholders while advocating GenAI best practices and measuring success metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the sector (e.g., product management, claims, underwriting, customer service, operations, or business analysis).
• Experience as a business analyst, product owner, functional analyst, or similar role.

Business Analyst / AI Translator

For a client, we are seeking a Business Analyst / AI Translator to bridge the gap between business teams and AI/technical teams. The candidate will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from ideation and analysis to testing, rollout, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements & Analysis:
  • Analyze business problems and translate them into clear, structured requirements for AI and chatbot solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders from different departments (business, IT, operations, customer service).
  • Challenge and refine requirements to ensure they are realistic, testable, and aligned with business goals.
• AI & Chatbot Projects:
  • Work closely with data/AI engineers, developers, and product owners to clarify requirements and priorities.
  • Act as a "translator" between business and technical teams, ensuring both speak the same language.
  • Participate hands-on in testing chatbots and other AI applications to deepen understanding of use cases and user journeys, validate business requirements and quality standards, and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication:
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and keep them informed about scope, progress, and risks.
  • Prepare clear documentation (user stories, process flows, functional descriptions, test cases, etc.).
  • Present findings, options, and recommendations in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Gather feedback from end users and stakeholders to iterate on solutions.
  • Help define and track KPIs and success criteria for AI/chatbot initiatives.
  • Contribute to best practices for AI/GenAI usage within the organization.
• Planning & Coordination:
  • Build and maintain the planning for the AI team, aligned with overall project timelines and priorities.
  • Define and track key milestones for AI/GenAI initiatives, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Closely coordinate with project management to align dependencies, scope changes, and delivery expectations.
  • Follow up with developers and AI engineers on progress, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address delays.

Your Profile:

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the sector (e.g., product management, claims, underwriting, customer service, operations, or business analysis).
  • Experience as a business analyst, product owner, functional analyst, or similar role.
• Language Skills:
  • Bilingual French/Dutch with working proficiency in both languages (spoken and written).
  • Native proficiency in one of the two is a strong plus.
  • Working proficiency of English.
• AI Affinity:
  • Strong interest in GenAI, chatbots, and conversational interfaces.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to understand capabilities and limitations.
  • Curious about how AI can improve customer journeys and internal processes.
• Way of Working:
  • Willing to be hands-on: test chatbots and AI applications yourself, document issues, propose improvements.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking: able to understand complex business problems and structure them.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: able to adapt messages to different audiences.
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Prefer to stay involved throughout the project, not just at the start.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working on chatbot, virtual assistant, or GenAI projects.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Basic understanding of technical concepts related to APIs, data flows, and AI/ML (no coding required, but understanding the basics).
