Active in more than 20 African countries, SMT offers the whole range of Volvo equipment: Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, and marine & industrial engines with Volvo Penta.

We are also the official dealer of SDLG, Dressta, Sennebogen Green Line, Mack Trucks and Marcopolo buses. In its subsidiaries, SMT Africa has a permanent stock of trucks, machinery, and parts ready to be delivered.

Responsibilities

• Information Gathering: conduct interviews, organize meetings, and workshops to collect all necessary information.
• Needs Analysis: collaborate with internal departments to identify business needs and user requirements related to our Aftersales & IT systems. You act as a real business support for other departments.
• Documentation: maintain business models, functional designs, and system documentation.
• Process Analysis: describe, analyze, and evaluate bottlenecks as well as opportunities for improvement in our Aftersales operational processes.
• Process Modelling: use modelling techniques to map and optimize Aftersales processes.
• Develop & write functional specifications: develop business analyses, detect opportunities, and translate them into functional specifications and user stories for IT development.
• PowerBI reports: qualify requirements, propose solutions, test solutions and implement them.
• Project Management: actively participate in project management, monitor progress, coordinate actions with project teams and project managers, while respecting deadlines and budgets.
• Monitoring Developments: stay constantly informed of the latest trends and developments in the field of IT and process analysis.

Profile

• You hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• You already have a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience as a Business Analyst, consultant, or in a similar role, ideally in the services sector.
• You are fluent in French and English languages, both written and spoken.
• You have strong knowledge of process modelling techniques (BPM, UML, etc.).
• You have previous experience with Agile methodology, experience in Scrum is a plus.
• Familiarity with business analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) is preferred.
• You have excellent communication skills (both technical and non-technical).
• You are organized, methodical, and able to meet deadlines while keeping an eye on details.
