Job summary

Freshfields is seeking an ambitious mid-level associate to join its Brussels People and Reward practice. You will advise global employers on Belgian and international employment, pensions, benefits and data privacy issues.

You will coordinate multi-jurisdictional projects, perform due diligence, draft transactional documentation, and advise on executive remuneration, severance and equity plans. The role offers close collaboration with Brussels colleagues and Freshfields colleagues worldwide,

Qualifications

2–5 years employment law experience.
Belgian law degree; post-graduate degree in employment, labour or social law is an asset.
Fluent in English and Dutch; good command of French.

Responsibilities

Advise on Belgian and cross-border employment matters.
Coordinate multi-jurisdictional employment law projects across the global network.
Draft transactional documentation and provide due diligence input.
Advise on executive remuneration, senior appointments, departures, and severance packages.
Structure stock option plans, equity incentives and benefit schemes.
Support HR data privacy issues, GDPR compliance, and investigations.
