Qualifications

• 15 years of GIS methodologies and tools experience.
• 15 years geospatial data management operations.
• 15 years web cartography technologies and standards.
• 15 years cartographic design for interactive maps.
• 5 years earth observation data operations.
• 5 years geospatial big data management tools.
• 5 years AI in GIS context.
• 5 years issue tracking tools (JIRA) experience.
• 5 years collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint).
• 5 years version control systems (Git, SVN).
• 5 years CI toolchains (Bamboo, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Provide GIS strategies and reference architectures.
• Analyse GIS requirements and develop processes and automation.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and modelling.
• Develop cartographic products and geovisualisations.
• Process remote sensing imagery for monitoring and classification.
• Create and validate GIS datasets with metadata compliance.
• Administer GIS databases and platforms with security and upgrades.
• Develop GIS web applications and OGC services.
• Monitor and optimise GIS architecture for performance.
• Manage geospatial databases, data lineage, and CRS transformations.
• Implement automated data validation and workflows for accuracy.
• Integrate GIS with enterprise systems and BI tools.
• Ensure compliance with EU INSPIRE and metadata standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and analytical reports.
