Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a BI Consultant/Information Analyst to drive data reporting initiatives in the Belgian energy sector from the Melle location. The role focuses on transforming datasets for market transitions, deploying digital meter reporting, and extending reporting frameworks to meet changing business needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Power BI experience with large data volumes.
• 4+ years of SQL queries for data processing.
• 3+ years as a BI Consultant or Information Analyst.
• 2+ years of data processing with Databricks.
• Proven experience with Data Management (ETL) and Acceptance testing.
• Strong communication to bridge business and IT.
• Dutch fluency at C2 level.

Our client, a major organization in the energy sector, is undergoing a significant transition in its data reporting and system methodologies. The project involves analyzing and restructuring datasets to support the rollout of digital meters and the integration of new data models.

• Analyze and transform datasets and reporting structures to support market process transitions.
• Implement reporting solutions related to the deployment of digital meters within existing data models.
• Design, develop, and extend reporting frameworks based on evolving business needs.
• Execute automated and semi-manual data coupling and processing tasks.
• Conduct thorough acceptance testing to ensure the quality of reporting outputs.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• 4+ years of experience with Power BI, specifically working with large data volumes.
• 4+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries for data processing.
• 3+ years of experience as a BI Consultant or Information Analyst.
• 2+ years of experience managing data processing within Databricks.
• Proven experience with Data Management (ETL) and Acceptance testing.
• Demonstrated ability to handle large-scale datasets and complex data environments.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate alignment between business and IT.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• 3+ years of experience with market processes within the Belgian energy sector.
• 2+ years of experience working with PySpark.
• Familiarity with MIG6 standards and reporting tools.
• Experience conducting detailed requirements analysis.
