Job summary

In4Matic is seeking a Medior Power BI Specialist to develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reporting solutions. You will translate business needs into clear, data-driven visualizations, collaborating with data warehouse specialists and other technical teammates.

You will contribute to data analysis, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing, ensuring accurate information to support decision making.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience building dashboards and reporting with Power BI.
• Experience modeling data warehouses, either in projects or education.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design, planning and implementation; exposure to Cognos or DataStage is a plus.
• Experience analyzing data flows and working with data warehouse architectures and ETL processes.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new Power BI dashboards and enhance existing reports based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with data warehouse specialists to ensure data availability for reporting.
• Review and validate data flows and datasets before developing the reporting layer.
• Contribute to data warehouse modelling and design effective reporting solutions.
• Document dashboards and reporting processes for knowledge transfer.
• Provide dashboard support with defined incident response within 3 working days for 2 hours.

Function

Our client is looking for a Medior Power BI Specialist to develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reporting solutions. In this role, you'll translate business reporting needs into clear, insightful, and data-driven visualizations, working closely with data warehouse specialists and other technical stakeholders. You'll also contribute to data analysis, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and the resolution of reporting issues, ensuring that users can rely on accurate and accessible information to support their decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new Power BI dashboards and enhance existing reports based on business requirements.
• Analyze reporting needs and collaborate with data warehouse specialists to ensure the availability of the required data.
• Review and validate data flows and datasets before developing the reporting layer.
• Contribute to data warehouse modelling and the design of effective reporting solutions.
• Document dashboards, data flows, and reporting processes, ensuring knowledge is transferred to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide support when dashboard incidents occur, with availability within three working days for a minimum of two hours when required.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders and contribute to projects using Agile development methodologies.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven hands-on experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Experience with data warehouse modelling, either through practical project experience or relevant formal education.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design, planning, and implementation, including experience with tools such as Cognos or DataStage.
• Experience analyzing data flows and working with data warehouse architectures, processes, and concepts.
• Understanding of data warehouse components, including ETL processes, BI reporting and analytics, databases, and metadata.
• A structured and detail-oriented approach, with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into practical reporting solutions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on documentation and knowledge transfer.

Practical Information

This assignment requires approximately 1.5 days per week, with flexibility in scheduling. The estimated workload is indicative, and only hours actually worked can be invoiced. Candidates must be fluent in Dutch at CEFR level C2.
