Job summary

imec in Leuven, Belgium is seeking a Process Engineer for bevel management to join the CMP team within the R&D Unit Process and Modules. You will start up advanced semiconductor equipment, develop training plans, and understand process interactions across manufacturing steps in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in engineering technology or related field
• Experience in research or industrial environments is beneficial
• Knowledge of nano technology and CMP, plasma etch or deposition processes is a plus
• Foundry or OSAT experience and semiconductor materials background is beneficial
• Strong data analysis and big data awareness is an asset

Responsibilities

• Start-up state-of-the-art semiconductor equipment with bevel management
• Develop a training plan for mastering equipment and process
• Understand interactions between your process and up- and downstream steps
• Work cross-functionally with integration/support/hardware teams and industrial partners
• Define, organize and validate material & processes during development
• Learn and apply metrology solutions to characterize materials
• Coordinate and implement non-standard work in imec’s fab organization with process engineers
• Report about your work to internal and external partners and via publications
