American International Group (AIG) is seeking an HRBP Legal and Labour Law Officer to lead the Workers Council and liaise with unions for Belgium and Luxembourg. The role covers global employment framework, policy updates, and coordinating with administration for compliance and international moves.

The position emphasizes HR governance, employee relations, and collaboration with management in a dynamic, office-focused environment in Belgium. Fluency in French and Dutch, plus English, is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive HR experience
• Very good knowledge of local legislation and labour law
• Good communication skills (face to face, on the phone)
• Good language skills (French - Dutch – English)
• Good team player
• Ready to work in a dynamic environment (open space and flex desk)

Responsabilités

• HR Legal: Negotiate with trade unions to conclude agreements on company and sectoral level (Belgium and Luxembourg)
• HR Generalist: Provide advice and support in organizational changes and crisis management; resolve grievances; update policies and ensure regulatory compliance
• HR Communication: Update stakeholders (local HR, GMs, employees) and advise senior managers on HR strategy and legal challenges
• HR Administration: Follow internal processes, manage employee contracts and moves (inpatriates/expatriates)
