Atos is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a development team, contributing backend expertise to services behind our solutions. The role focuses on Java with Spring Boot, running on Azure, managed via Azure DevOps, and includes AI-assisted development elements.

You will help design, build, and operate backend services, emphasizing reliability and scalability. You will collaborate with Product Owners and engineers, staying aligned with SAFe/Agile practices and modern DevSecOps standards.

Qualificações

• 5+ years building production backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of software design and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with architectural styles (hexagonal, modular monolith, microservices, event-driven).
• Data modelling and database design skills (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Solid delivery practice: automated testing, quality gates, DevSecOps.
• Experience in SAFe/Agile teams.
• Proactive mindset to review requirements and raise concerns.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and related challenges.

Responsabilidades

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of software design and enterprise integration patterns, and the judgement to pick the right one or keep it simple.
• Experience with several architectural styles, for examplehexagonal, modular monolith, microservices, event-driven.
• Data modelling and databasedesign skills. PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Solid delivery practice: automated testing, quality gates,DevSecOps.
• Experience in SAFe/Agile teams.
• A proactive mindset to review requirements, challenge assumptions when necessary, and raise concerns regarding feasibility or clarity.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, including handling the problems it introduces.
