Unisys is seeking a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer for a consultancy assignment with an EU institution in Brussels, Belgium.

You’ll design and build front-end and back-end features, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. The role requires deep Java (Spring), Angular, microservices, and cloud skills, plus security and data handling best practices; fluency in English (B2+) is expected and French is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree and extensive IT experience.
• 10+ years Java back-end with Angular front-end.
• 5+ years in cloud platforms with infrastructure as code.
• 2+ years in code-quality and security analysis.
• 1+ year of hands-on AI-assisted development.
• EU-27 security clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
• English at B2 or higher; French a plus.

We’re looking for a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer for a consultancy assignment with our client, an EU institution, in Belgium (Brussels).

The assignment

You’ll join a team that builds and runs digital solutions supporting public procurement and funding processes. You’ll work across the full stack, from front end to back-end APIs, data and deployment. The environment is multicultural and multilingual, with high standards of ethics and discretion.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop front-end and back-end features and APIs
• Implement business logic following data and security best practices
• Test, debug, troubleshoot and document your work
• Deploy applications with CI/CD pipelines and containers
• Bridge front-end and back-end teams for cohesive integration

What we’re looking for

• University degree and 15+ years of IT experience (more years are required with lower qualification levels)
• 10.5+ years each in Java back-end development (with Angular front-end work), the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Config), microservices and distributed systems (Kafka, Protocol Buffers), and Oracle/PL-SQL, JPA/Hibernate and Liquibase
• 7+ years in containers and delivery (Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar)
• 5+ years in cloud platforms with infrastructure as code
• 2+ years in code-quality and security analysis (Sonar, Fortify, Splunk)
• 1+ year of hands-on AI-assisted development
• English at B2 or higher; French is a plus
• EU-27 security clearance, or eligibility to obtain it

Nice to have: Angular, Oracle Java SE 17, Spring Professional, CKAD or AWS/Azure developer certifications.
