Optiwisers in Brussels, Belgium, is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Architect with strong Azure expertise to lead modern data architecture initiatives, urban data projects, and the automation of the Azure Data platform.

You will design scalable Azure data solutions, drive CI/CD automation, contribute to data governance and security, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data architectures.

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect to join a major public-sector data transformation initiative in Brussels, Belgium.

The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of a modern Azure Data Architecture, supporting enterprise data initiatives, Smart City projects and the automation of the Azure Data platform.

• Work regime: Full-time, with 2 days onsite per week
• Languages: French or Dutch (mandatory) + English
• Contract: B2B / Freelance

You will be responsible for supporting major data architecture initiatives, including:

• Contributing to the implementation and evolution of the Azure Data Architecture.
• Supporting the Digital Twins project focused on urban heat island mitigation.
• Designing and implementing scalable data solutions across the Azure ecosystem.
• Providing hands-on support for CI/CD automation across the Azure Data platform.
• Contributing to data governance, security and integration best practices.
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data architecture solutions.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Architect with strong Azure expertise, solid knowledge of data architecture and governance, and the ability to work across cloud, DevOps, security and modern data platforms.
