Job summary

Zohorecruit in Belgium is seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect to design and implement scalable data platforms using Azure and Databricks, leading data lake and data warehouse initiatives across the organization.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals, while establishing governance, security, and CI/CD practices. The role offers hybrid/remote options and opportunities to mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Solution Architect or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Experience with data modeling, governance, and security best practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a data environment.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Event Hubs, or similar streaming technologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable data solutions using Azure cloud services and Databricks.
• Define data architecture standards, best practices, and governance models.
• Lead the end-to-end design of data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Optimize data storage, processing, and security within the Azure ecosystem.
• Develop strategies for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
