D-ploy GmbH in Belgium is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a cloud platform environment supporting a global organization in the pharmaceutical sector. You will design, automate and operate cloud infrastructure primarily on Microsoft Azure.

The role focuses on IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes and DevOps automation, collaborating with architects, data teams and external partners to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
• Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, ideally Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience designing, deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure in complex organizational environments.
• Good understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern platform engineering approaches.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking concepts (Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, DNS, load balancing, NSGs, firewalls).
• Familiarity with cloud security, identity and monitoring solutions.
• Experience with GitHub, source control and CI/CD processes.
• Previous experience supporting Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; automation-focused mindset.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Valid criminal record extract, not older than three months.

Responsabilités

• Design, deploy and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Support Azure services across compute, networking, storage, identity, security and monitoring.
• Create reusable infrastructure components and deployment patterns.
• Onboard application/workload teams to cloud platforms.
• Operate and maintain shared cloud platform capabilities for stability and performance.
• Support and troubleshoot containerized workloads on AKS.
• Contribute to platform upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Manage GitHub repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Document procedures and share engineering standards.
• Collaborate with architects and partner teams on cloud designs.
