Job summary

Haulogy is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to build, automate and run AWS-based environments. You will implement infrastructure-as-code, automate configuration and data workflows, and monitor reliability while migrating the remaining hosting off legacy systems.

You will also handle incidents, backups, certificates, access and day-to-day requests, supporting colleagues and clients while continuously improving automation and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, technical operations or a comparable role.
• Proficiency with Linux systems, services, processes, logs, permissions, networking, and disk management.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Docker, including images, volumes and container networking.
• Strong automation reflex; able to script repetitive tasks in Bash or similar.
• Interest in cloud, infrastructure-as-code and modern infra practices; eager to learn AWS tools.
• Reliability, ownership, documentation and strong service mindset for internal teams and clients.
• Willingness to work outside office hours during incidents.
• Fluency in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate environments on AWS and help migrate remaining ones from legacy hosting.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts, templates, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Implement monitoring, dashboards and alerting to ensure reliability and proactive responses.
• Assist with cost control through right-sizing and efficient resource usage.
• Perform day-to-day operations including backups, dumps, restores and data transfers.
• Manage TLS/SSL certificates, access controls, and permissions across services.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, supporting internal and client-facing ecosystems.
• Maintain internal SaaS tools and runbooks to document procedures for the team.
