Job summary

skeyes is seeking a Safety Expert to further develop our Safety Management System and ensure aviation safety in Belgium. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to meet high safety standards.

You will organize safety assessments, analyze risks, promote a safety culture among controllers and technical staff, and develop training and guidance. This role requires experience in safety-critical environments and excellent English; Dutch/French skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Training and experience in a safety-critical environment.
• Experience with ATM/CNS/MET systems and/or Air Traffic Control is an asset.
• Expertise in safety and human factors.
• Experience with safety assessments (analysis, reporting, recommendations, follow-up) is a plus, preferably in aviation, transport, industry or nuclear sector.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent command of English; Dutch and French are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas for improvement and monitor European and national regulations.
• Organise, coordinate and monitor safety assessments per legislation and methodology.
• Promote a strong safety culture among traffic controllers and technical staff.
• Develop and deliver training courses, coaching colleagues and conducting reviews.
• Report safety information, establish indicators and analyse trends.
