Johnson Controls in Brussels is seeking a System Support Engineer to support operations of our Monitoring Alarm Receiving Centre (MARC). You will provide technical support, install, configure, and support new technologies and system enhancements.

The role requires strong Linux/Windows, networking, and Dutch/Flemish and English fluency, with French as a plus; excellent communication, planning, and the ability to work under pressure.

What you will do

We are a trusted partner in remote surveillance and an established player in the security market. To strengthen our team in Brussels, we are looking for a System Support Engineer to support operations of our Monitoring Alarm Receiving Centre (MARC)

Howyouwilldoit

• Provide comprehensive technical support for the Monitoring Alarm Receiving Centre to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Install, configure, and support new technologies and system enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous performance improvement initiatives across the department.
• Allocate and coordinate internal and external technical resources.
• Maintain clear and regular communication with management regarding technical topics and progress.
• Coordinate and support data protection compliance activities.
• Ensure technical support services meet corporate and company standards.
• Support technical projects within defined budgets and timelines.
• Maintain a secure and organized working environment ("clean desk" policy).

Whatwe lookfor

Required

• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments.
• In‑depth understanding of networking.
• Fluent in Dutch/Flemish and English , and intermediate French.
• Excellentcommunicationskills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage stressful situations effectively.
• Responsible attitude and time flexibility.

Preferred

• Knowledge of the electronic security industry and relevant industry certifications.
• Experiencewithdatabases.
• Familiarity with systems used in Customer MonitoringCentres(e.g., MASterMind, video surveillance platforms).
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 processes and INCERT quality certification requirements.
