Job summary

European Investment Bank (EIB) is seeking an Associate Officer in Luxembourg to support the Regulatory Capital and Capital Policy unit. The role focuses on maintaining the capital requirements framework, monthly capital ratio calculations, and related reporting, within the MDB Capital Adequacy Framework Common Approach.

The position is full-time and based at the Luxembourg headquarters, with relocation support available. Panel interviews are anticipated for late 2026.

Qualifications

• University degree (minimum Bachelor) in quantitative field; post-graduate studies advantageous.
• At least three years of relevant experience in (economic or regulatory) capital requirements or similar banking/finance role.
• Familiarity with modern credit risk measurement methodologies and regulatory framework developments.
• Proficient in MS Excel, VBA, SAS, Python or other programming languages.
• Strong IT background; ability to work with large data sets; SQL experience; Business Objects would help.
• Excellent knowledge of English and/or French, with good command of the other.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly calculation and monitoring of key capital metrics for EIB and Group; prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Analyze metrics used by credit rating agencies and enhance related calculation/reporting tools.
• Coordinate data collection, review data quality, and support MDB Capital Adequacy Framework initiatives; prepare briefing materials.
