Job summary

Coil Digital Consulting is seeking an experienced ASIC Test Engineer to support development, qualification, and production ramp of advanced semiconductor products.

You will take ownership of ASIC test activities from prototype through qualification and production ramp-up, collaborating closely with project teams, customers and external test houses to ensure robust test solutions and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant ASIC/semiconductor test experience.
• Experience with mass-production testing.
• Hands-on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Knowledge of semiconductor characterisation and qualification testing.
• Experience with reliability testing including HTOL, HAST, Temperature Cycling, ESD, and Latch-Up.
• Experience supporting prototype-to-production / NPI ramp-up.
• Fluent English with strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and plan ASIC test work packages alongside the Project Manager.
• Develop and establish ASIC test solutions with external test-house partners.
• Support transition from prototype testing through characterisation, qualification, and mass production.
• Coordinate production ramp-up activities with customers and manufacturing partners.
• Manage and optimise volume-production test activities.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through yield improvement, test-time optimisation, and multi-site testing.
• Support ASIC qualification activities including HTOL, HAST, TC, ESD, and Latch-Up.
• Work proactively with customers and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Our client, a semiconductor technology business, is seeking an experienced ASIC Test Engineer to support the development, industrialisation, and volume production of advanced semiconductor products.

The successful candidate will take ownership of ASIC test activities from prototype through qualification and production ramp-up, working closely with project teams, customers, and external test houses.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and plan ASIC test work packages alongside the Project Manager
• Develop and establish ASIC test solutions with external test-house partners
• Support transition from prototype testing through characterisation, qualification, and mass production
• Coordinate production ramp-up activities with customers and manufacturing partners
• Manage and optimise volume-production test activities

• Experience with platforms such as Advantest V93K/93K, Advantest T2000, Teradyne UltraFLEX/FLEX, or J750
• Knowledge of semiconductor characterisation and qualification testing
• Experience with reliability testing including HTOL, HAST, Temperature Cycling, ESD, and Latch-Up
• Experience supporting prototype-to-production / NPI ramp-up
• Demonstrable project-based engineering experience
• Fluent English with strong customer-facing communication skills
