Médiane Benelux is seeking a Java Software Architect to design secure, high-performance software for defense and mission-critical environments. You will drive backend and frontend development, shaping architecture decisions in an Agile, international context.

Key responsibilities include modernizing microservices, RESTful APIs, and secure coding practices while collaborating with global teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Java Software Architect or senior Java backend engineer.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Angular and REST APIs/microservices.
• Solid understanding of software security concepts and Agile/Scrum.
• Proficient English and eligible for security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop secure, high-performance Java backend services (Spring Boot).
• Define and evolve microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Develop frontend interfaces using Angular and ensure integration with backend.
• Apply security best practices and ensure code quality via tests.
• Collaborate with international Agile/Scrum teams and participate in ceremonies.
• Contribute to continuous product improvement and performance optimizations.

Our client, a major industrial player in the defense and mission-critical systems sector, is looking for a Java Software Architect to strengthen its software teams and contribute to high-value, secure solutions.

Mission

As a Java Software Architect, you will design and develop secure, high-performance, and scalable software solutions for critical environments. You will be involved in architectural decisions, backend and frontend development, and continuous product improvement within an Agile and international context.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java backend services using Spring Boot
• Define and evolve microservices architectures
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs
• Develop frontend interfaces using Angular
• Apply security best practices (authentication, authorization, secure coding)
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing
• Optimize application performance and scalability

• Proven experience as a Java Software Architect or senior Java backend engineer
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot

• Good professional level of English
• Eligible for a security clearance

Nice to Have
