Qplox engineering is seeking an Application Engineer to design, develop, and deploy proof‑of‑concept solutions for interactive, audience‑facing stage experiences. You will work across the full stack, from architecture to edge AI on CUDA devices and user‑facing apps.

You will collaborate with artists, engineers, and partners to deliver practical software solutions, implement automated QA, and thrive in a fast, focused Agile team with independent ownership and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Python.
• Proven backend/API development and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC.
• Experience deploying CUDA-accelerated AI on edge devices.
• Ability to work independently with ownership.
• Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Interest in music technology is a plus.

In this unique role, you will collaborate with artists, engineers, and technology partners to design and build cutting-edge applications that merge creativity with advanced technology.

Your Role

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying proof-of-concept solutions for interactive and audience-facing stage experiences. You will work across the full technology stack, from architecture and infrastructure to AI-powered edge computing and user-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop proof-of-concept applications for interactive and audience-facing stage experiences
• Work in a focused agile software team that can (re)prioritize goals based on client feedback
• Collaborate with artistic and technical partners to integrate with existing software and hardware systems
• Understand user needs and translate them into practical software solutions
• Develop, deploy and maintain fullstack applications, APIs and edge AI components
• Setup an automated Quality Assurance and testing system

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Python
• Proven experience in backend/API development and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte
• Solid understanding of infrastructure setup and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software deployment practices
• Experience deploying and operating CUDA-accelerated AI and LLM models on edge devices (such as NVIDIA Jetson platforms)
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable balancing architectural design with hands-on software development
• Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
• Interest or experience in music technology, MIDI systems, or digital sheet music is considered an asset

We provide the flexibility to work both from our office premises and remotely from home. This to maintain a healthy work-life balance while being an integral part of our team. An onsite presence of 3 days a week is required.
