Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' commercial experience as an AI Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with ML, DL, Generative AI and LLMs.
• Experience delivering AI-powered applications in production.
• Experience across the full AI development lifecycle.
• Strong Python programming skills with modern AI libraries.
• Experience deploying AI in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of MLOps, monitoring and AI governance.

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a growing team focused on delivering cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence solutions across a range of business-critical projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced AI initiatives, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and AI-driven automation, helping to shape the organisation's AI strategy and capabilities.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of end-to-end AI solutions, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and provide technical leadership on complex AI projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and optimise AI and Machine Learning solutions for production environments.
• Build and implement Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
• Develop scalable AI architectures and integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead the full AI lifecycle, from data preparation and model development through to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend best practices for adoption.
• Mentor and support junior AI engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years' commercial experience as an AI Engineer, developing and deploying AI solutions within production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proven experience building AI-powered applications and services that deliver measurable business value.
• Experience working across the full AI development lifecycle.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern AI frameworks and libraries.
• Experience deploying AI solutions within cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and influence AI strategy.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to the development of high-performing technical teams.

Desired Experience

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Knowledge of vector databases and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience fine-tuning and deploying Large Language Models.
• Exposure to AI agents, multi-agent systems, and advanced Generative AI use cases.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
