As Analytical Method Validation Scientist, you will take ownership of analytical method transfer and validation projects supporting biologics manufacturing. You will define validation strategies, execute analytical studies, investigate method performance and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. You will combine hands on laboratory activities with scientific analysis, technical documentation and cross functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Method validation: Define and execute validation strategies for analytical methods supporting biologics.
- Method transfer: Lead analytical method transfers across manufacturing and laboratory environments.
- Analytical studies: Design and execute studies covering content, potency and impurity testing.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate analytical deviations and resolve method performance issues.
- Data analysis: Perform statistical analysis, trending and ongoing method performance monitoring.
- Documentation: Write analytical procedures, study protocols and technical reports.
- Quality compliance: Ensure laboratory activities and documentation meet data integrity and GMP requirements.
- Technical expertise: Develop subject matter expertise for assigned methods, instrumentation and products.
- Laboratory testing: Perform analytical testing using immunoassays, binding assays, molecular techniques and spectroscopy.
- Collaboration: Work with research, manufacturing science, external laboratories and Quality Control teams.
Required competences & skills
- Education: PhD in life sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent expertise.
- Validation experience: Proven experience with analytical qualification or validation for biologics.
- Analytical techniques: Strong practical expertise with immunoassays, protein binding methods and spectroscopy.
- Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant international guidelines and pharmacopoeial requirements.
- GMP expertise: Excellent knowledge of GMP requirements for analytical testing.
- Protein characterisation: Experience with advanced protein characterisation techniques is a plus.
- Automation: Experience with automated liquid handling technologies is a plus.
- Statistics: Ability to perform statistical analysis and interpret analytical method performance.
- Experimental design: Experience designing and interpreting experiments for analytical qualification and validation.
- Communication: Strong technical writing skills with fluent written and spoken English.
