As Dissolution Scientist, you will design, plan and follow up dissolution studies supporting pharmaceutical development. You will contribute to biopharmaceutical assessment, clinically relevant quality control methods, mechanistic understanding, automation and data analysis while collaborating with multidisciplinary scientific teams.
Key responsibilities
- Dissolution studies: Design, plan and follow up dissolution testing activities.
- Method development: Improve biorelevant and clinically relevant dissolution methods.
- Quality methods: Contribute to quality control methods and specification development.
- Scientific understanding: Advance mechanistic understanding of dissolution behaviour.
- Data analysis: Support statistical modelling and advanced data analysis approaches.
- Automation: Contribute to laboratory automation strategy and implementation.
- Scientific collaboration: Represent dissolution expertise in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Documentation: Write and review technical and scientific documentation.
- Lead analytical method transfer and validation for biologics
- Develop robust methods supporting manufacturing
- Combine laboratory expertise with scientific project ownership
- Develop and optimise dissolution methods
- Biopharma assessments and formulation development
- Advance laboratory automation and scientific data modelling
- Ensure technical and regulatory alignment
Required competences & skills
- Education: PhD in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences or a related field.
- Alternative education: Master degree in a relevant field with two years of professional experience.
- Pharmaceutical knowledge: Understanding of formulation development, analytical chemistry, GMP and compliance.
- Dissolution experience: Experience with dissolution testing or method development is a plus.
- Data modelling: Experience with statistical modelling, experimental design or multivariate analysis is a plus.
- Automation: Experience with laboratory automation or equipment qualification is a plus.
- Scientific mindset: Curious, proactive, creative and able to learn quickly.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary and cross functional teams.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills with good written and spoken English.
- Languages: Knowledge of Dutch or willingness to learn the basics is a plus.
