Job summary

Ardena Gent in Belgium seeks an Associate Group Leader Analytical Development to guide analytical method development and GMP QC activities for early-phase drug products. You will steer projects, mentor Analysts, and implement new techniques aligned with GMP standards.

Based in Mariakerke (Ghent), the role requires a PhD or Master’s with 5+ years’ experience, proficiency in HPLC/UPLC/GC and MS, and a strong grasp of regulatory dossiers and budgeting.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with 5y equivalent in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience in chromatographic method development (HPLC/UPLC/GC) and MS detection.
• GMP environment experience is desirable.
• Ability to manage projects independently within budget/timeline.
• Strong analytical reporting and teamwork skills.
• AI savviness is a must.

Responsibilities

• Be the technical expert on analytical method development and GMP QC analysis.
• Translate client goals into high-quality analytical methods.
• Represent analytical science in project team meetings.
• Drive adoption of new analytical techniques in collaboration with engineering.
• Oversee day-to-day development and GMP activities of the team.
• Report to the Director Analytical Development.
