IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a Process Development Engineer to advance atomic layer deposition (ALD) thin films for next‑generation memory devices. You will develop and sustain ALD/PECVD processes in a high‑tech R&D setting, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to push device fabrication capabilities.

You will build expertise in deposition metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, XRF, 4‑point probe) and apply data analysis tools (MATLAB/Python) to optimize film uniformity,

Qualifications

• Preferably a master’s degree in chemistry, physics, material science or engineering.
• Hands‑on experience operating deposition tools and process development, specifically ALD and/or PECVD.
• Expert knowledge of thin film properties and characterization methods is an asset.
• Background in memory technology is advantageous.
• Experience in thin film metrology such as ellipsometry, XRR, XRF, and 4‑point probe for ALD process development.
