Expeditors Belgium is seeking an Air Import Lead Agent to ensure the timely movement of freight and information, while delivering exceptional customer service in the Air Import Department.

You will track shipments, enter data into our operating system, and work with customers and suppliers to arrange international shipments. Fluency in English and Dutch and eligibility to work in Belgium are required.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of airfreight experience.
• Understanding of air documentation is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Pro-active and reliable attitude.
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• IATA certification preferred.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• Eligible to work in Belgium.

Responsabilités

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Enter data accurately into our operating system.
• Track and trace Air Import files.
• Process daily workflows.
• Deliver freight to customers for imports.
• Send documents to customers or brokers for customs purposes.
• Bill clients and service providers accurately.
• Coordinate with customers for international shipments.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies).
• Meet compliance with OPS and external regulations or customer requirements.
• Understand department process flow and seek efficiency improvements.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and updated.
• Meet KPI standards per company procedures.
• Oversee overseas communications and timely responses to inquiries.
