HR Partners is assisting a European public-sector institution in finding a Junior AI Governance Consultant to help apply EU AI Act requirements across AI systems. This is a governance/compliance role with a strong technical component and not software development or data science.

The candidate should understand AI system design, deployment, testing, monitoring and governance, and collaborate with system owners, technical teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 2+ years.
• Knowledge of AI systems, governance, Responsible AI, risk, or compliance.
• Understanding of the EU AI Act and practical application.
• Strong stakeholder-management, analytical and documentation skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Residence within two-hour travel distance from Brussels.
• Availability to work as a freelancer.
• Primarily remote, with attendance in Brussels when required.
• Long-term assignment; initial duration to be confirmed.

At HR Partners, we are supporting a European public-sector institution in the search for a Junior AI Governance Consultant to contribute to the practical implementation of EU AI Act requirements across AI systems.

This is an AI governance and compliance role with a strong technical component. It is not a software development or data science position.

We are looking for someone who can understand how AI systems are designed, deployed, tested, monitored, and governed, and who is comfortable working with system owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of AI systems, AI governance, Responsible AI, technology risk, or AI compliance
• Understanding of the EU AI Act and its practical application
• Strong stakeholder-management, analytical, and documentation skills
• Professional proficiency in English
• Residence within a maximum two-hour travel distance from Brussels
• Availability to work as a freelancer
• Primarily remote, with attendance in Brussels when required
• Expected to be a long-term assignment; initial duration to be confirmed
