Our client within a European public-sector institution is seeking a Junior AI Governance & Compliance Specialist to support the practical implementation of AI Act requirements across AI systems.
This is an AI governance and compliance role with a strong technical component. While the primary focus is on supporting AI Act compliance activities through established governance frameworks and procedures, the position requires the ability to engage directly with AI system owners and technical teams on the practical implementation of regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be comfortable discussing how AI systems are designed, deployed, tested, monitored, and governed in practice. They will contribute to assessments of AI systems by examining technical characteristics, risks, limitations, performance considerations, bias and fairness testing approaches, transparency mechanisms, and other relevant governance controls.
The role combines AI governance, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and technical analysis. It is not a software development position, but candidates must possess sufficient technical understanding of AI systems to confidently assess them from both a governance and compliance perspective.
