Oper, a European Fintech, is building AI-native platform for mortgage origination in Antwerp. We are seeking an AI-Native DevOps Engineer to join the Engineering team and keep Herman fast, reliable, and secure as we scale across Europe.

You will own and evolve cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and Kubernetes workloads, with Argo CD and Terraform on GCP/IBM. You’ll mentor others, enforce security/compliance, and drive automation using AI-native workflows in a regulated fintech.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Strong cloud experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with multi-cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Argo CD.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab or GitHub.
• Scripting in Python; Bash or Typescript also welcome.
• Collaborating with developers and non-developers; security/compliance awareness for fintech.
• AI-native mindset: using AI tools to enhance infrastructure work.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Dutch/German) are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve the cloud infrastructure for Herman and the SaaS product.
• Build and maintain pipelines, clusters, and IaC in a regulated, security-first environment.
• Lead IaC and platform architecture on sovereign EU infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on debugging, unblock deployments, and assist developers.
• Run Kubernetes workloads and manage deployments with Argo CD.
