Dataroots, a Talan company, invites you to join a team delivering end-to-end data and AI solutions across industries. You’ll design, build and deploy AI systems that bring measurable business value, applying MLOps and LLMOps to production-ready pipelines.

We value a strong foundation in Python and SQL, production experience with ML techniques, and the ability to translate business problems into technical scope. Fluency in English and Dutch is desirable.

At Dataroots, we deliver end-to-end data and AI solutions, from strategy and platform design to data engineering and AI-enabled systems. That broad scope is reflected in our team: AI/ML engineers, data engineers, cloud architects, and data strategists. Each discipline brings its own expertise, but we share knowledge, perspectives, and a common way of thinking across disciplines.

Within that team, you design, build and deploy AI solutions that deliver tangible business value for our clients across a variety of industries, spanning classical ML, modern GenAI, and Agentic AI use cases. Your work goes beyond getting the models to work; you help bring AI systems into production in a robust and scalable way, applying best practices in MLOps and LLMOps to ensure they are reliable, maintainable, and adaptable over time.

You bring the following qualities & experiences to the role:

• A deep passion for Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience developing AI-driven applications or systems.
• Strong foundation in software design principles; Proficiency in Python & SQL is a must.
• A solid understanding of core machine learning techniques and how to apply them pragmatically in production settings.
• Familiarity with modern generative AI and agentic approaches, including retrieval-based systems and LLM orchestration patterns.
• Experience deploying AI systems into production, with a solid grasp of model lifecycle management and cloud-native deployment practices.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a solid understanding of cloud-based AI and data workflows.
• Front-end experience is considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for clients.
• A pragmatic, business-oriented mindset: able to translate business problems into technical scopes and help AI solutions land, with a focus on product thinking and real business value.
• Fluency in English and Dutch.

Our main offices are in Leuven and Ghent. These spaces are perfect for both focusing and unwinding with colleagues, as well as brainstorming sessions and team events.

While much of your work can be performed remotely, you will also work on-site with clients.
