Consort Group in Brussels is seeking an AI Data Scientist (M/F) to lead advanced Data Science and AI use cases from scoping to deployment and monitoring.

You will guide and coach the team, collaborate with business, Data and IT, and help implement enterprise-wide AI governance aligned with the EU AI Act.

Qualifications

• University degree in quantitative or technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, ML or AI.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions from scoping to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Science and AI use cases end-to-end from scoping to deployment and monitoring.
• Coordinate with business, Data and IT stakeholders and manage risks and decisions.
• Coach team members to strengthen capabilities in DS/AI.
• Advise business on AI opportunities, limitations and implementation choices.
• Track value realization and ensure regulatory compliance.

AI Data Scientist M/F

This is your mission

Within the CoE Analytics & AI team, you act as a senior technical and functional expert, leading advanced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence use cases from business scoping through operational deployment and monitoring.

You provide hands-on guidance, advice and coaching to strengthen the team’s capabilities while working closely with business, Data and IT teams to challenge needs, assess feasibility and value, and develop or supervise robust and scalable solutions.

You also contribute to the definition, structuring and implementation of the enterprise-wide AI governance framework, ensuring that AI initiatives are identified, assessed, approved, monitored and managed consistently in terms of value, investment, risk and regulatory compliance.

Build side

• Lead Data Science and AI use cases end to end, from business scoping and value assessment through development, deployment, adoption and performance monitoring.
• Challenge business needs, assess feasibility, define success criteria and provide recommendations to support prioritization and investment decisions.
• Develop advanced analytics, Machine Learning and generative AI solutions, or supervise their delivery when other team members or partners are involved.
• Define and promote robust technical practices for Data Science and AI solutions.
• Lead the definition and implementation of the enterprise-wide AI governance framework, in line with Group standards, responsible AI principles and the EU AI Act.
• Establish practical processes to identify and assess AI initiatives, validate implementations and support investment decisions.

Run side

• Coordinate business, Data and IT stakeholders and manage the risks, dependencies and decisions required to move use cases forward.
• Provide hands-on guidance and review the team’s work.
• Coach team members to strengthen their Data Science and AI capabilities.
• Advise business teams and management on AI opportunities, limitations and implementation choices.
• Track expected and realized value and ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.
• Contribute to the monitoring and oversight of AI initiatives and their performance.

This is your background

• You hold a university degree in a quantitative or technical field, or have equivalent professional experience.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or AI.
• You have experience delivering solutions end to end, from business scoping through production and monitoring.
• You have experience acting as a senior technical reference, providing guidance, reviewing work and coaching less experienced team members.
• You are comfortable coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and operating in a regulated environment.
