• PhD or equivalent in machine learning or a related quantitative field.
• Excellent machine learning and programming experience.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire competitive funding.
• International working experience.
• English proficiency; Dutch training offered if needed.

• Research: build and lead an independent research program as VIB Group Leader and KU Leuven Professor.
• Teaching: take up teaching assignments in English or Dutch with quality education commitments.
• Service: provide scientific and societal services and contribute to VIB and university reputation.
