VIB is inviting applications for a Principal Investigator position affiliated with KU Leuven. The role combines Group Leader responsibilities at VIB and Professorship at KU Leuven across Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in machine learning or a related quantitative field.
• Excellent machine learning and programming experience.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire competitive funding.
• Interdisciplinary mindset and collaboration across center, department and university.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Dutch training offered with target B2 within five years.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain your independent research program within VIB and KU Leuven.
• Lead teaching assignments (in English or Dutch) with high-quality education.
• Provide scientific, societal and internal services to enhance the VIB and university reputation.
