Duely in Ghent is building an AI-driven engine to turn thousands of documents into precise legal deliverables. This on-site founding engineer role focuses on reliability, security and scale.

You will own data pipelines, infrastructure in Terraform on Azure, and work with AI engineers and M&A lawyers to push features from idea to production.

Join a small team shaping the product, with equity and a fast feedback loop, while processing millions of documents monthly.

Qualifications

• Strong backend fundamentals.
• Experience with data-intensive systems in production.
• Cloud and infrastructure experience.
• Testing and observability.
• You want to be in the room. This role is on-site in Ghent.
• Bonus: experience with LLM applications, OCR or security and compliance in regulated domains.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the document pipelines.
• Own the infrastructure. Compute, storage, networking, deployments on Azure managed in Terraform.
• Improve the SDLC. Remove bottlenecks so features and fixes ship as soon as they're ready.
• Set up alerting and observability. Catch issues quickly and get to the root cause fast.
• Design for security. Every service, pipeline and endpoint ships with security thought through from the start.
• Optimize costs. Run services efficiently and keep costs in check as we grow.
