XPLUS is expanding its AI Transformation practice and seeks an AI Architect to design enterprise AI solutions for clients across sectors. You will align AI architectures with business objectives, governance, and cloud strategies, working with AI Engineers and business experts to deliver value.

Ideal candidates have strong consulting, communication skills and a passion for staying current with AI trends, while being able to travel across Belgium as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Solution Architecture and/or Enterprise Architecture (min. 5 years).
• Solid understanding of AI fundamentals and modern AI paradigms; curiosity for learning essential.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, data platforms, APIs and security principles.
• Excellent consulting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

About the role

To support the continued growth of its AI Transformation services, xplus/Yuma is looking for an AI Architect to design and guide the implementation of enterprise AI solutions for clients ranging from large SMEs to multinational organisations.

• As an AI Architect, you bridge business needs and technical implementation. You work closely with business experts, AI Engineers and client stakeholders to define solution architectures that deliver business value while fitting within the client's enterprise architecture, technology landscape and governance standards. Throughout engagements, you act as the architectural reference point, supporting key design decisions and ensuring successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Understand clients' business objectives, processes and technology landscape.
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures together with business experts and AI Engineers.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, integration and cloud strategies.
• Guide architectural decisions, manage technical trade-offs and support delivery teams throughout engagements.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, practical AI solutions.
• Promote architecture best practices, responsible AI and continuous improvement.
• Continuously build expertise in emerging AI technologies and contribute to xplus/Yuma's AI capabilities.

Who you are

• Proven experience in Solution Architecture and/or Enterprise Architecture (min. 5 years)
• Solid understanding of AI fundamentals and modern AI paradigms, including Generative AI and Agentic AI. Deep expertise in every AI technology is not required, but a strong learning mindset and enthusiasm for staying current are essential.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Good knowledge of enterprise integration, data platforms, APIs and security principles.
• Strong consulting, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
• Pragmatic, collaborative and customer-oriented.
• Ideally you speak fluent Dutch - candidates with fluent English considered
• You are available to be onsite min. 2 days/week (West Flanders) - be mobile to other locations in Belgium if needed.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure, AWS, TOGAF or AI-related certifications) are an asset.

You will work closely with client business leaders, process owners, Enterprise Architects, IT teams and AI Engineers, acting as the trusted architectural advisor throughout AI transformation initiatives.
