Job summary

SABCA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Brussels to industrialize products and implement efficient processes for aerospace components and space launcher elements.

You will lead the definition of production means, validate plans, and optimize workflows across the shop floor with a focus on cost, quality, and deadlines. Master’s degree and 3–5 years in aerospace manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Industrial/Mechanical/Aerospace).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in aerospace.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (3D printing, additive manufacturing, composites).
  • Experience in manufacturing project management including planning, coordination, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of new products and be responsible for industrial choices: optimize part design, define production means, select manufacturing processes.
  • Validate engineering plans for optimal industrialization.
  • Implement manufacturing processes (SAP routings, technical documentation, control sheets, define tooling requirements).
  • Study and improve workstations (ergonomics, layout, and safety conditions).
  • Optimize and validate production for series production.
  • Dimension production means and cycle times, validate operational times, and manage transfers to subcontractors.
  • Participate in PFMEA (Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis).
  • Propose improvements for equipment testing and validation procedures.
