Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Diegem, Belgium seeks a Numerical Simulation Engineer to model, simulate and analyze complex physical phenomena for defence and aerospace applications. You will work with R&D, design and production to ensure performance and reliability of cutting-edge solutions.

You will model fluid flows, couple physics, develop reduced-order models, and contribute to HPC-enabled workflows with Python scripting.

Qualifications

• Master's or engineering degree in relevant field with 3–5 years CFD experience.
• Proficiency in at least one CFD software with turbulence models.
• Experience in multi-physics and FSI is preferred.
• Scripting for automation (Python/Bash) and HPC exposure.

Responsibilities

• Model, simulate, and analyze fluid flows for aerospace/defence applications.
• Couple physical phenomena and perform FEM for structural integrity.
• Develop ROMs and AI/ML integration in simulation workflows.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to teams and customers.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and production to validate results.
• Support wind tunnel or lab tests correlating simulations with data.
