Vlerick Business School is seeking a Data Officer to support data-driven decision making across Ghent, Leuven, and Brussels campuses with a flexible hybrid work model. You will ensure data quality and manage data requests, while developing training materials to help users leverage data applications.

Use MS Excel, databases and reporting tools (Power BI, Dynamics, Salesforce) to turn data into actionable business insights and to drive improvements in data processes.

Qualifications

• Passion for data and data quality.
• Ability to translate data into insights.
• Strong customer and result-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with MS Excel, databases and reporting tools.
• Bonus for Power BI, MS Dynamics or Salesforce knowledge.
• Team player but able to work autonomously.

Responsabilités

• Follow up on data-related requests to ensure fast, customer-focused service.
• Ensure daily data quality control and consistency checks in databases and data flows.
• Develop learning material to train and advise on data applications.
• Focus on data management to report and translate data into business insights.
• Proactively improve and automate data processes and visualisation.
• Analyze data and provide reports to support decision-making at Vlerick.
• Participate in data-related projects bridging business needs and technical implementation.

Your mission

• Follow up on data-related requests (problems, issues or improvements) to ensure a fast, efficient, and customer-focused service to your end users.
• Ensure daily data quality control and consistency checks in our databases and data flows.
• Develop learning material to provide training and personalised advice on the use of our data applications.
• Focus on data management to ensure data quality and to report and translate existing data into valuable business insights.
• Proactively think of ways to improve and/or automate data processes and visualisation.
• Analyse and provide reports on the available data to support the different decision-making processes at Vlerick.
• Participate in data-related projects where you actively take the role of a data analyst, building the bridge between the business needs and the technical implementation.

You

• Have a passion for data and data quality.
• Have a strong customer and result-oriented mindset.
• Preferably have a first professional experience in a similar role.
• Are familiar with MS excel, databases and reporting tools, bonus points for the knowledge of Power BI, MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce.
• Like working at the intersection of technology and business.
• Are a logical and analytical thinker.
• Are a team player who can also work autonomously.
• Are very fluent in English and have an excellent communication style.
• Can be based on our campus in Ghent, Leuven or Brussels in combination with your home office and are flexible to join the team in Ghent on a regular basis.
