Team and Division

The team you will join is responsible for the (pre)-development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), providing increased safety and convenience for Toyota customers. The team’s duties include:

• Developing vehicles and making concept proposals for EU core models.
• Reflecting EU technology to Toyota vehicles in a timely manner by leveraging location advantage and strong network with EU partners.

Responsibilities

• Data‑driven investigation of ADAS and Active Safety system performance in the field.
• Extract key performance indicators from ADAS design information to assess market performance.
• Perform model‑based system re‑simulation.
• Review test results and confirm that Toyota technical standards are fulfilled.
• Report project status concisely and maintain regular communication with project partners.

Profile

• Fluent in English, Toyota’s business language.
• Critical and analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership and quality verification.
• Final year of a master’s program in engineering or computer science.
• Proficient in Python and MATLAB/Simulink programming.
• Ability to set up data processing toolchains, perform data analysis, and report results clearly.
• Good interpersonal skills; able to discuss and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Strong interest in automotive and ADAS.
• Knowledge of software development processes (V‑cycle) is an asset.
• Knowledge of ADAS functions and limitations is an asset.
• Knowledge of CAN communication and/or Vector tools (CANoe, vTestStudio, etc.) is an asset.
• Willingness to travel for business regularly.

Internship Details

• Starting date: Flexible.
• Duration: 6 months.
• Confidentiality: Some projects may not be reflected in the internship report; discussion with candidate or school is required.
• Applicants must be students for the entire internship period.
• Candidates must hold EEA or Swiss citizenship (no work permit or visa required).
