Job summary

IQ-EQ in Belgium seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead technical reviews across bookkeeping, financial statements and tax, ensuring Lux GAAP and IFRS/US GAAP adherence. You will guide Accounting and GCD teams and manage a client portfolio of SPVs and alternative funds in Belgium and Luxembourg.

You will supervise internal systems usage, drive process improvements, and uphold regulatory standards with a strong focus on accuracy and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Business Administration.
• 6–8 years of professional accounting experience with strong Lux GAAP (essential) and knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP (advantageous).
• Registered/licensed by the Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants (ITAA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Demasy; fluent in English and either French or Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of accounting deliverables across bookkeeping, financial statements, management reporting, and tax returns, ensuring compliance with BeGAAP, Lux GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Manage a portfolio of clients—primarily SPVs and AML funds across Belgium and Luxembourg—serving as the technical reference for complex accounting matters.
• Provide technical guidance to Accounting and GCD teams to ensure consistent accounting standards.
• Oversee use of internal systems and tools (Navigator WF, Navigator Doc, QICS) and participate in process improvement reviews.
• Identify and remediate technical risks and errors to ensure regulatory compliance and client-specific expectations.

Job Description

The manager acts as a hands-on a technical expert within the Core Team Accounting contributing to high-quality client delivery achieves impact through technical oversight, review, guidance and knowledge transfer.

What you'll do:

• You’ll conduct technical reviews of accounting deliverables across bookkeeping, financial statements, management reporting, and tax returns, ensuring compliance with BeGAAP, Lux GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP standards alongside internal quality procedures.
• You’ll manage a portfolio of clients—primarily SPVs and alternative investment funds across Belgium and Luxembourg—serving as the technical reference point for complex accounting matters and client requests.
• You’ll provide technical guidance and feedback to Accounting and GCD teams, supporting their professional development and ensuring consistent application of accounting standards across the organisation.
• You’ll oversee the correct and timely use of internal systems and tools (Navigator WF, Navigator Doc, QICS), verify adherence to procedures, and participate in process improvement reviews.
• You’ll identify and remediate technical risks, inconsistencies, and errors in accounting work, ensuring all deliverables meet regulatory requirements and client-specific expectations.

Qualifications

About you:

• You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BAC+5) in Accountancy or Business Administration.
• You bring at least 6-8 years of professional experience in accounting, with strong technical expertise in Lux GAAP (essential) and knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP (advantageous).
• You are registered with and fully licenced by the Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants (ITAA).
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Demasy, with native fluency in French or Dutch and fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• You demonstrate excellent technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to provide guidance on complex accounting matters across multiple regulatory frameworks.
