Jobtailor in Belgium seeks a senior accounting professional to lead general and analytical accounting for the business unit. You will handle monthly closings, annual accounts, VAT/Intrastat filings, and collaborate with external advisers on subsidies and taxation in an international setting.

You will support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and audit activities, ensuring data integrity and compliance, with fluency in Dutch and English and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or economics.
• 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in international environments is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own full general and analytical accounting for the business unit.
• Serve as primary contact for financial matters within the business unit.
• Coordinate with local external advisors on subsidies and taxation.
• Perform monthly and annual closings.
• Prepare annual accounts, tax, VAT, Intrastat, and statistics.
• Support the annual financial audit.
• Assist in budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis.
• Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Seek continuous process improvements to maintain data quality and integrity.
• Report to the Finance Director of the Drug Product division.

• Full A-Z responsibility for general and analytical accounting


• Serve as primary point of contact for financial matters within the business unit


• Collaborate with local external advisors on subsidies and taxation


• Perform monthly and annual closings


• Prepare annual accounts, tax, and legal filings, including VAT, Intrastat, and statistics


• Handle customer follow-up, supplier payments, and payroll-related entries


• Support the annual financial audit


• Assist in budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis


• Prepare and maintain short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts


• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations


• Seek continuous procedural improvements to maintain financial data quality and integrity in collaboration with Corporate Finance


• Report to the Finance Director of the Drug Product division

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an economic or financial field


• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience


• Experience in analytical accounting and working in an international environment is a plus


• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail


• Proactive team player with a solution-oriented mindset

• IT-minded, proficient in ERP systems and Excel


• Previous experience with Business Central (BC) is a plus
