Bekina Group in Belgium seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage the full accounting cycle, from day-to-day transactions to month- and year-end closing, including VAT and statutory reporting.

You will lead improvement initiatives, work with SAP S/4HANA and ERP systems, and collaborate with colleagues across the international group to optimise financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical, team player with excellent communication.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems; SAP experience is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Manage full accounting cycle from day-to-day transactions to month- and year-end closing.
• Process invoices with OCR and handle payroll-related accounting entries.
• Monitor and reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
• Lead projects for finance process optimisation, including SAP S/4HANA development.
• Contribute to group consolidation and statutory reporting.

Description du poste

• Managing the full accounting cycle, from day-to-day transactions through to monthly and year-end closing.
• Processing and verifying incoming invoices using OCR, as well as handling payroll-related accounting entries.
• Monitoring and reconciling customer and supplier accounts.
• Managing investments and fixed assets and ensuring accurate financial records.
• Preparing and submitting statutory declarations and reports in a timely manner, including VAT returns, Intrastat declarations and surveys.
• Contributing to the consolidation of the group companies.
• Acting as the first point of contact for accounting and tax-related matters concerning your entities.
• Playing an active role in the optimisation and digitalisation of financial processes, including the further development of SAP S/4HANA.
• Taking the lead in continuous improvement projects within the Finance department and involving colleagues in achieving shared objectives.

What We Expect from You

• You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
• You have strong analytical skills and are a team player with excellent communication skills.
• You have a strong affinity with IT and ERP systems and are proficient in Excel.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• You are able to independently lead new projects and improvement initiatives and know how to engage and motivate colleagues towards achieving a common goal.
• You are Dutch-speaking and have a good knowledge of French and English.
