Job Description
Accounting & Financial Control
- Manage accounting activities for multiple international entities.
- Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, and invoice processing.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and accounting entries.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and corporate requirements.
Financial Reporting
- Produce management reporting and financial packages.
- Prepare statutory accounts and support regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and reporting standards.
- Review work completed by external accounting providers.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations.
- Monitor variances and support business decision-making.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Prepare audit documentation and supporting schedules.
- Maintain compliance with corporate governance requirements.
Business Partnering & Projects
- Collaborate closely with Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury, Finance, and Corporate teams.
- Support acquisition and integration projects.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to management and operational stakeholders.
Tax & Regulatory Matters
- Support tax compliance and reporting activities.
- Coordinate with external advisors on corporate tax and indirect tax matters when required.
- Assist with regulatory and statutory obligations across jurisdictions.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Experience working within an international or multi-entity environment.
- Exposure to real estate, asset management, investment structures, or corporate services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of VAT and indirect tax matters is considered a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Yardi is an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Fluent English is essential.
