University of Luxembourg is seeking a Librarian to join the User Services team, welcoming and assisting LLC users and supporting information services on campus and remotely.

You will help open the Luxembourg Learning Centre to the public, register and advise visitors, and deliver introductory training on library resources and information retrieval. The role also involves promoting services and supporting literacy and mediation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent with library experience.

Responsabilités

• Open Luxembourg Learning Centre to the public on weekdays and Saturdays by covering public service shifts.
• Welcome users, register them, advise them and answer questions.
• Provide information in person and remotely via Ask a Librarian and Book a Librarian services.
• Deliver introductory training sessions on the library and information retrieval.
• Promote on-site and online services to users.
• Contribute to the development of information and document literacy/mediation activities.
• Contribute to collection processing; e.g., ordering, cataloguing, receiving, periodicals management.
