Imec in Leuven, Belgium, seeks an experienced R&D Device Characterization Engineer to advance electrical characterization of semiconductor and superconducting devices. You will work across technologies, analyzing large wafer-scale datasets and translating results into actionable recommendations.

You will collaborate with process, materials and data experts, develop reproducible workflows in Python/JMP, and contribute to technology choices while benefiting from imec's development programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics, or related field.
• Good understanding of semiconductor devices and process integration.
• Experience with Python, data analysis and scripting environment.
• Practical knowledge of electrical measurements and lab instrumentation.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and extract conclusions.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute and interpret electrical characterization of semiconductor and superconducting devices.
• Study wafer-level datasets across junctions and capacitors.
• Monitor process stability and identify drifts and variations.
• Develop reproducible workflows using Python, JMP or similar tools.
• Translate results into actionable technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Prepare concise reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate across multiple projects in a fast-moving R&D environment.
• Improve measurement methods and data-analysis workflows.
