MinDCet in Leuven, Belgium is seeking an IC Characterization Engineer to join our team. You will perform electrical measurements on ICs, wafers and packaged devices, analyze results, and work with IC designers to improve device performance.

You will develop characterization plans, automate measurements with scripts, document results, and help grow our lab capabilities in a collaborative, high-tech environment supporting automotive, industrial, medical, aerospace and space applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of analog and power electronics concepts.
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Hands-on ability to build, modify and debug test setups in a lab.
• Ability to design measurement setups including hardware and software.

MinDCet is looking for an IC Characterization Engineer to join our team in Leuven, Belgium.

In this role, you will perform characterization of Integrated Circuits. You will carry out measurements, analyze the results and work together with our IC designers to understand and improve the performance of our devices.

Your responsibilities

• Set up and perform electrical measurements on ICs, wafers and packaged devices
• Develop and execute characterization plans
• Analyze measurement results and identify unexpected behavior or performance limitations
• Develop scripts and automated measurement setups for production testing
• Document measurement results and prepare characterization reports
• Work closely with IC designers to understand and debug silicon behavior
• Support device qualification
• Contribute to the development and improvement of MinDCet's measurement capabilities and laboratory infrastructure

Your profile

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field
• Good understanding of analog and power electronics
• Practical experience with laboratory tools such as an oscilloscopes, power supplies and other lab equipment
• Hands-on and comfortable building, modifying and debugging test setups, including basic work with a soldering iron, screwdriver and other workshop tools
• Able to design and build measurement setups, including both hardware and software
• Experience with measurement automation and scripting, for example Python or MATLAB
• Experience with PCB design, preferably using Altium Designer
• Able to interpret measurement data and translate results into useful feedback for IC designers
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to work in the laboratory
