Job summary

Queensland Department of Education – Corinda State High School is seeking a Youth Worker to support students with educational, social, emotional or behavioural needs, liaising with students, parents/guardians and school staff.

This role involves monitoring attendance, building links with families, identifying students at risk, and maintaining records, data management, and providing administrative support as required.

Qualifications

• Experience liaising with students, families and school staff preferred.
• Ability to support students' educational, social, emotional or behavioural needs.
• Strong record-keeping and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance to identify and intervene early.
• Build links between the school and families to support ongoing attendance.
• Identify and assist students at risk of leaving school prematurely.
• Maintain spreadsheets and data records, and provide administrative support as required.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, guidance officers and welfare agencies.
