Job summary

Aviva College on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland seeks a Youth Worker to provide holistic wellbeing support for disengaged students. You will help them re-engage with education, overcome barriers, and develop resilience through practical and relational interventions.

As part of the Student Services Team, you will deliver targeted programs, handle incident responses, and maintain accurate records to support positive student outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Christian faith, college values and professional conduct.
• Experience supporting at-risk and disengaged young people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
• Organisational skills including accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Trauma-informed knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Campus/Program and Student Services Team membership – collaborative contribution.
• Student Support & Case Work – tailored programs for students.
• Critical incident response – support during and after crises.
• Reporting and recording – professional management of student data.
• Professional practice – ethical and compliant engagement.
