Job summary

National Networks Plus (NNP) is expanding its staffing pools in the Cairns region to support clients in health and community settings. The Youth Worker will build relationships, follow care plans, and collaborate with stakeholders while responding to crises and maintaining records.

Ideal candidates hold a Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or related field), current First Aid/CPR, NDIS/WCC checks, and a Queensland driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar field.
• Hope & Healing Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain.
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
• Recent and minimum 6 months experience with children or clients with disability.
• 2 professional supervisor references.
• Unrestricted Queensland Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support.
• Follow established care plans.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
• Respond to crisis situations with immediate support and coordinate with appropriate authorities.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, assessments and program outcomes.
• Work positively with the team to ensure the highest level of care.

• Hope & Healing Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
• Current (Paid) Working with Children check (or willing to obtain)
• Recent and minimum 6 months experience working with children or experience working with clients with Disability is a must
• 2 professional supervisor references
• Unrestricted Queensland Driver's License
